Description:

In this dialogue styled workshop, Kai will explain the history of the term "Two Spirit" as it relates to Treaty 6 and the surrounding communities. He will touch on definitions of sex and gender, as well as roles and responsibilities of Two Spirit people in the community. He will explain the importance of resurgence, and shed light on the different ways in which Indigenous people and specifically LGBTQ2S+ youth are reclaiming their identities and why this is important for holistic and spiritual well-being.
